How Romance Works
Romance in The Blood of Dawnwalker is straightforward. There are no missable quests or activities that can lock you out of a romance opportunity, and it mostly involves completing their related questline, along with making choices that express that you want to spend time with them.
The dialogue options clearly indicate if you are pursuing a bond with them or dismissing the opportunity. Your romantic endeavors are closely tied to your objective and theirs, and you can even pursue all 3 relationships if you manage your time accordingly.
Relationships are also lenient - you can disagree with them during dialogue choices and still have the option to romance them, as long as you remain respectful to them and their goals.

Anca - The Herbalist
Anca is the most patient romance option out of the three. She takes her time to guide Coen and teach him to read. She keeps a secret near and dear to her - to learn her secret, you will need to gain her trust and get closer to her.
Anca is a herbalist who hails from the same town as Coen. She is immediately introduced as one of the trusted characters in Coen's life, and she will be the first one to help Coen find out where his family is being held.
Romance Type: Human, Early Game
Marat (Crake) - The Rebel Leader
Marat, also known as Crake, is the leader of a rebellion group that opposes the Vrakhiri. He is courageous and charismatic, and while his loyalty inspires those around him, he only trusts a few. To be on his good side, you will need to prove your worth by saving your family.
Romance Type: Human, Rebellion Leader
Lacra - The Vrakhir
Lacra is the only supernatural romance option in the game. She is secretive with her motives and goals, but one thing is known: she is driven by vengeance. You will need to slowly gain her trust if you want to learn about her background.
Even though she's a vrakhir (vampire), she insists that her goals are aligned with Coen, and building a relationship will come naturally as you help her out with her quests.

Each romance path has specific dialogue choices that must be made to successfully pursue the relationship. Pay attention to options that express interest, care, and commitment to the character. The game will generally indicate through the dialogue tone if you're heading toward a romantic path.
Romance and Endings
Romance choices can influence certain endings in The Blood of Dawnwalker. Specifically, Lacra's romance path is connected to "The Patricide" ending, while Marat's path is connected to "Knyazmaker" ending. Building relationships with these characters may affect the outcomes available to you.
